I know many, many of you love the seating arrangement I had in the dining room (which recently got made over for $100) with my two ghost chairs and the little black settee. I loved it, too… BUT it was kind of awkward to always have to have two people sit right next to each other (I mean literally thigh to thigh) on the settee. I’d been on the prowl for individual dining chairs for awhile, but I didn’t want to spend much money at all on this since it’s not a priority purchase for me right now. And then I found $44 dining chairs.
I was actually on the Walmart website looking for a replacement outdoor cushion for one of my outdoor chairs when I accidentally stumbled upon the new arrivals for outdoor chairs. And there it was…a $44 Parisian Black & White Bistro Chair. They’re outdoor grade, lightweight, gorgeous, stackable and have just the casual vibe I wanted for the dining space since it leads directly to the outdoor area.
As you can see, they come well packaged to avoid scuffs. The pattern led me to feel that the previous rug was a bit too busy, so I moved over the one from my recently completed office and feel it’s perfection!
Now, I will say that I posted about these chairs on my Instagram Stories a week ago, and since then they have completely sold out in my entire area. My followers keep sending me messages that their cities are completely sold out, too.
In all fairness, I did stress to run, not walk, to your nearest Walmart and snatch these suckers up. These are/were an in-store only item, and I would think that their massive success would lead Better Homes & Gardens to provide more product to Walmart so you all can enjoy their fabulousness.
I selected these chairs after examining them closely in-store for various reasons. Mainly, I wanted to ensure they’re comfortable and sturdy for guests. I’m a big girl, and they are comfy and my butt isn’t squished. (TMI? Sorry…?)
I also loved the black and white finish, although I’d say the white is ever so slightly off-white. The wood finish is a natural color that is inoffensive and timeless.
The seat is wide and perfect for hosting a dinner party or enjoying some board games.
I really loved the space before, and now I am just crazy in love as Beyonce would say. I mean, seriously… 4 new dining chairs for under $200?! Unheard of, usually. I think the total with tax for me was about $190.
I kept my ghost chairs in the space since they visually disappear. I parked one by each curtain for some extra seating in a pinch.
I also changed up the table decor a bit from my spring tour to celebrate the new outdoor vibes.
Now, I truly do not know if Walmart will get more of these $44 beauties, and I hate to be like, “Look what I got! Shame you lost out!” so I did some extensive research to see if I could find some comparably priced alternatives and I found a few linked below. But, feel free to stalk the Walmart website to see if your store has any in-stock or tweet the BHG Live Better folks so they know you’re interested!
