When Ursula from Home Made by Carmona invited me to be part of her Garden Party blog hop, I was a bit shocked since around that timeframe I had gone onto my back patio for the first time since Spidergate (long story that basically involved me hysterically screaming about a spider on me and threatening divorce since my husband was of no help during this life or death crisis…ok, it wasn’t that serious in hindsight) and discovered my succulent had died.
Yay, me. #blackthumb (The boxwood featured in the pics below is faux, by the way, and it lights up at night via hidden batteries!) But, that being said, I do love our backyard and am going to share a few pictures of it. We got new furniture this spring and it’s been lovely.
Being out here reading magazines and listening to music is one of my favorite things to do. Daniel loves to relax out here and enjoy his craft beers. I also love that Pee Wee has plenty of spots to perch on to keep me company.
The coffee table and ottomans really make this a versatile set. Honestly though, I think I’ll enjoy it more in the fall when hopefully there’s less heat and spiders. Oh and frogs.
A new plant stand turned grilling station is the perfect portable solution for keeping our outdoor grilling necessities on hand in an organized fashion. We now have both a charcoal and gas grill, so my BBQ lovin’ heart is happy.
Notice Pee Wee patiently waiting for some chicken. He’s such a ham.
Our dining table moved off the back patio and onto the grass near the pond. The large cabana striped umbrella keeps us cool in the hot Texas summers.
I love dining al fresco and seeing pretty birds playing in the pond and listening to Pee Wee bark at who knows what, honestly.
Our front porch is about 3×3 feet, so no pretty pictures of a porch or a legit garden (for obvious reasons) to showcase here, BUT there are so many lovely bloggers showcasing their beautiful outdoor spaces thanks to Ursula. Use the links below to show them some love!
Do you enjoy being outdoors?

I'm obsessed with the black and white stripes and glam details on the table! And seriously, spiders and other creepy crawlies should NOT wander into our outdoor spaces. 🙂
