April marks the 10th anniversary of my blog, and over the past decade I’ve enjoyed writing about my home and decor adventures. As part of today’s post, you can enter to win a K-Café® Single Serve Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino Maker from Keurig and a variety of pods.
Keurig K-Café Special Edition Review
If I’m not lucky enough to win the beautiful 2019 HGTV Smart Home in Dallas, Texas, at least I know I can make my own home a little more smart with my new K-Café® Special Edition Single Serve Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino Maker from Keurig.
It was incredibly easy to set-up and make my own coffeehouse inspired lattes and cappuccinos with just the touch of a button. The built-in frother whips milk into foamy perfection for both iced or hot beverages.
My current obsession has been espresso shots poured over my fave protein shakes to create gourmet, coffee protein shakes. Making these drinks at home is smart because I save money and time, plus it is convenient and quick!
So far I’ve made iced lattes, espresso shots and a hot cappuccino, and all turned out delicious! You wouldn’t believe how simple this coffeemaker is to use.
I feel it upgrades my kitchen to another level by having such a robust, versatile, and easy to use Keurig coffee maker.
And I’d love for one of my readers to get to have their very own smart home upgrade by giving away a K-Café® Single Serve Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino Maker from Keurig® and an assortment of K-Cup® pods sponsored by Keurig! You can enter below from now through April 30. I’ll draw a lucky winner (U.S. only!) and notify them via email on May 1. Winner will have 24 hours to respond with their mailing address. Details at the end of this post!
2019 HGTV Smart Home
This year’s HGTV Smart Home is located in my home state of Texas, and it is packed with gorgeous decor and design inspiration. You can take a tour via the HGTV website, and you’ll also want to tune in (or set your DVR) to watch the one-hour HGTV Smart Home special hosted by the lovely and talented Tiffany Brooks this Friday, April 26.
Check out this stunning, airy and chic home office. The color scheme is perfection!
The built-ins in the office are also beautifully designed and styled. Perfect for those big, tall walls in a room with high ceilings. I kind of want built-ins for my office now!
Let’s all take a moment and take in the beautiful living room. I love, love, love how dramatic the wall color is.
Personally, I can’t wait to see more of all the innovative smart home features and integrations! We have a lot of smart home features in our house, but I’m sure there are upgrades I’ve never even heard about that I’ll have to add to my house wish list.
I’m especially curious about the backyard since I’m currently itching to make some upgrades to our outdoor living situation.
Tips for Creating a Smart Home
Creating a smart home that is connected, useful and customized for your household doesn’t have to be expensive or a chore. Here are three tips to help you create a smart home!
- Use integrations! Many smart home hubs allow you to connect (“integrate”) various apps, services or technology to it making it an all-in-one smart home hub solution. Whatever hub you choose, it likely can integrate with your doorbell or security cameras, smart thermostat or even your wi-fi enabled garage door opener.
- Create your own IFTTT sequences. Creating a free IFTTT account (if this, then that) to manage everyday tasks in your smart home is definitely a great way to expand and further utilize smart home technology you already have. One example I set-up is when our security system is armed, our indoor cameras (which are by a different manufacturer) automatically arm, too.
- Download the apps for the smart home products you have. I have a friend who has a smart thermostat that didn’t realize she could control the thermostat from her phone… if she simply downloaded the app. I know it can seem like app overload, but utilizing the product’s app is a smart way to maximize the ROI of your smart home products, learn about new features/integrations, and even set-up schedules/automations for your device.
