If you haven’t had your fill of colorful spring decor ideas from my first spring tour last week, well… I have more for you today! I’m excited to show you all my living room decor today as part of the It’s a Colorful Life tour hosted by Dimples & Tangles and Jeweled Interiors and features a ton of color loving homes to feast your eyes on.
Spring Decor for your Living Room
I feel like decorating for spring is pure joy because you can go nuts with bold colors, florals and get a bit funky. I stole the pillows from the guest bedroom and brought them over to our gray chesterfield sofa to set the scene for my spring decor in this space.
Plus, no need to have such gorgeous pillows hidden away in a room no one is using at the moment.
And I basically treat leopard as a neutral and use it year round. You can never go wrong with leopard!
On my end tables, I placed some of our smaller ginger jars and added in a mix of both faux and real florals. Our local grocery store has had some gorgeous florals at reasonable prices lately.
If you want a tutorial on how to create your own faux floral arrangements, you’ll definitely want to check out this faux floral arranging DIY tutorial.
On my other smaller end table by my recliner, I have another vase with florals (I have matching vases and split the bouquet in two), plus a gorgeous sparkly pineapple atop a stack of books. I love how striking this area looks against the windows and velvet green curtain panels.
Spring Decor for Coffee Table & Mantel
I’m getting a new coffee table soon, which is bittersweet because this small circular one has served me well and is so fun to decorate!
If you have trouble decorating a circular/round coffee table, I suggest using a tray to help corral items AND to think of your coffee table in quadrants (like a pie) or in thirds (like a peace sign). Fill each of those areas and edit until it’s perfection!
My fireplace mantel can be a smidge challenging to decorate because I don’t want to cover up the TV.
Husbands frown upon that, apparently.
I kept it simple by clustering three decor items on each side. Since we don’t have many DVD’s to store due to being able to stream movies and such, small ginger jars adorn each of the shelves.
Initially I had my leopard ottomans flanking the fireplace, but recently I moved them to the wall to the left of the fireplace to help fill up the vast sea of emptiness. That art is definitely too small, but for now it stays until I find a replacement.
In a perfect world, I’d luck out at Home Goods and find another massive art piece like the one in my foyer. I LOVE this art! Wish I would have kept the info card about the artist.
And here’s a few more photos of my living room from various angles before we move along.
I’ll be posting soon about my DIY abstract “toddler” art AND I’ll even offer up a few for you to download for free and print for your very own gallery walls.
Spring Decor: Kitchen, Dining Room & Bar Cart
The kitchen is going to basically come down to one photo showing how I have nothing on the counters except one of my faux floral arrangements and a bamboo hurricane with a scented candle.
I’ve been cooking a lot lately in an effort to keep powering through this weight loss journey of mine, and I’ve started to like how my kitchen counters look with hardly anything on them. Clean, simple, uncluttered.
However, my bar cart is looking mighty festive with spring decor! Again, using florals. They make me happy and lately HomeGoods has had some gorgeous faux options like the ones you see below.
I try not to be too matchy-matchy, but I do definitely take into consideration how decor looks in an open space.
This silver pierced ginger jar is another lucky HomeGoods find, but the real star is that Fitz & Floyd Dalmatian!
I wish I could find his twin– I scour thrift and antique stores looking for him so I can reunite them in perfect bookend harmony.

And over by the patio door I put my campaign chest style butler stand along with some decor just to add even more color and personality to a small dining space.
I hope you’ve had fun touring my living/kitchen/dining spring decor today!
