Happy Sunday, everyone! Sorry things have been a little quiet on the blog front, but I’ve been working like a mad woman on some larger home projects that will eventually make their way to the blog. I am exhausted, but so happy at what some DIY elbow grease can accomplish for my home.
The guest bedroom completely got an overhaul, and I added a feature wall that required using lots and lots of caulk (yes, I added moldings). My trick for dealing with the mess of cleaning up caulk is to use Viva® Towels and cold water. Their select-a-size feature, plus the fact that their paper towels are strong and cloth like, has made them our paper towel of choice for years.
I typically avoid printed paper towels like the plague because they feature things like bananas and apples, or roosters, or other random things that clash with my home decor. But recently, they collaborated with actress Alyssa Milano to create the Alyssa Milano Signature Designs by Viva® Paper Towels. There are nine colorful, trendy designs to choose from. There are jacquards, lattice, and ikat inspired prints in a beautiful color palette.
I’ve been using the coral/peach paper towels a lot in my dining room– this pic is from my summer table scape which had lots of coral tones.
I’ve also added a roll to my master bathroom because I want to catch makeup spills a little quicker to make sure I don’t ruin the marble countertops. The subtle blue and gray print works well in our gray bathroom, and it looks beautiful with the acrylic paper towel holder I bought. I can wipe up a spill AND the entire countertop with just one paper towel. These are super sturdy and hold up to heavy duty use. I’ve even wrung liquid out and kept cleaning with no problems.
I put my other roll from my three-pack (which was only $5!) in the craft room. I had a little bit of a paint mishap that nearly ruined the finish on my beautiful DIY desk, so it’s nice to have paper towels on hand. I also use the towels as a way to hold paint for super quick projects. Makes for easy clean-up! The yellow and orange colors brighten up my space.
I really like that these paper towels are generously sized (perfect dinner napkin size), durable, affordable, and beautiful! I no longer feel like the bad hostess when I whip out these Viva® Signature Brand Towels at dinner parties or get togethers. I love not having to wash and iron cloth napkins, y’all. Love.
At $5 for a three-pack, I highly recommend these towels for your entertaining, home decor needs. Show off your style by having snazzy paper towels that are chic and functional.
Could your kitchen use an upgrade? Then make sure to enter their Kitchen Couture Contest where five people will be awarded $1,000 towards making their dream kitchen a reality, by pinning items inspired by the nine Viva® Signature Design Towels.
I’ll be back with a kitchen update (I have paint swatches for you all to see) and a DIY agate artwork project that will save your hundreds of $$$ over the ZGallerie version. (YAY!)
